The ribbon has been cut on the tallest building on our side of Europe by Mayor Boris Johnson this morning, 800ft above the capital.

Designed by award-winning architect, Renzo Piano, the building has been praised by the Mayor for being “a most amazing place”. From the viewing deck on 72nd level you can see an absolutely unobstructed view of the city, seeing everything for miles and miles around, one of the best sites is the winding Thames river and seeing landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s, Tower Bridge all in relation to one another, there really isn’t any other way to get such a good birds eye view of London without sky diving over the capital which we’re pretty sure is probably illegal (unless you’re James Bond or the Queen).

Speaking to the press about his creation, Renzo Piano said: “This building is magical for a number of reasons. First, because it’s in London, second, because it’s so tall, and third, because this building is a part of London. It’s a sense of London.

Entry to the viewing deck is £24.95, for adults and £18.95 for kids.
